The game uses a variation of the Active Time Battle (ATB) system known as the Command Synergy Battle system, which makes use of the Paradigm Shift system.Final Fantasy XIII-2 retains the Command Synergy Battle and Paradigm Shift systems from its predecessor and the Battle System is simply a more evolved form of Final Fantasy XIII's battle system. One new gameplay element, called the Mog Clock, has been added, where the player must attack monsters on the field before the time is up to get the upper hand in the ensuing battle. When the player attacks a monster, the screen lights up and the scene switches to a battlefield, marking the start of a battle. Another new gameplay element is the Historia Crux feature, the time travel system in the game that can be accessed through the use of Time Gates throughout areas on the field. The gates are activated by finding artefacts in various ways, such as in hidden treasure chests using Mog. By resetting the gates Noel and Serah can redo their adventures. Using Historia Crux, the player is able to choose the location or era to travel to. There is a "gate matrix," where players select their next location based on the game's AF (After the Fall of Cocoon) timeline. Players are also able to access the save and main menus through gates. Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal, the longest running franchise in PlayStation history, is
now back, exclusively on the PS3 system. With four factions battling for

Mass Effect

short exposition, an opening combat scenario cleverly combines the "big"

one death haunts Shepard until the moving and jaw-dropping conclusion.
While there is plenty of action, developer BioWare subverts our
expectations. Every so often, the shooting heats up, only to lead to a
climax that comes not in the form of an explosion or a boss fight, but

Diablo III
Blizzard fans have been waiting forever for the third title in the popular Diablo series. Gamers have already gotten a taste of the game through the beta, however, and job listings point to Diablo III eventually making its way to consoles, but Blizzard has not confirmed the news just yet.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Players assume control of cyborg ninja Raiden, the katana-wielding ally of series mainstay Solid Snake. He is initially playable in his "White" form based on his appearance in Guns of the Patriots, wearing a white cyborg armor. At some point in the game he has it replaced with a more powerful "Black" cyborg armor that, although stronger, requires energy from "Zan-Datsu" kills.Fans were shocked to learn that Platinum Games was taking over development of Metal Gear Rising, a spin off title from the Metal Gear Solid series, which was re-unveiled at this past Video Game Awards show. Creator Hideo Kojima and his studio is still overseeing the project in a producer role.

The games use the concept of "active" versus "passive" moves, with "active" moves, such as running, climbing the sides of buildings, or jumping between rooftops, more likely to alert the attention of nearby guards. When the guards become alerted, the player must either fight them or break their line of sight and locate a hiding place, such as a haystack or a well, and wait until the guards' alert is reduced. The combat system allows for a number of unique weapons, armor, and moves, including the use of a hidden blade set in a band on the Assassin's arm, and which also can be used to quietly assassinate targets.

The game sees the return of the Covenant as foe, and introduces a new faction of enemy called the Prometheans who serve under the Forerunners. There are three types of Prometheans each with different variants and ranks; Knights serve as leaders of the group and are considered as the deadliest of the Promethean forces, Crawlers are a weaker class which often charge in larger packs, and Watchers, which are deployed by Knights, offer support and have the ability to heal and revive Promethean allies.

The third game in the popular Bioshock series, BioShock Infinite breaks away from the underwater setting of the first two games to take players into a floating city held aloft by dirigibles. The game is set in 1912. You play as Booker DeWitt, a disgraced former private detective who's picked up a new case. Your goal is to find Elizabeth, a young woman who's gone missing and return her unharmed. The only problem is that she's being kept on this flying city. The player controls Booker throughout the game, eventually teaming with the computer-controlled Elizabeth. Call of Duty
There is no shortage of World War II-themed first-person shooters available, and it's no secret that a number of them, including Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Battlefield 1942, are extremely good. Now you can add Call of Duty to that list. The first game by Infinity Ward, a studio composed of some of the same team that worked on Allied Assault, Call of Duty presents outstanding action all around and is at least as good as, and in several ways is simply better than, any similar game.Ascension is the eighth Zombies map, taking place at a Soviet cosmodrome. The map features Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen as the playable characters, and Space Monkeys alongside Soviet zombies as new enemies. Prey 2
The story of Prey 2 focuses on U.S. Marshal Killian Samuels, who starts the game on a passenger flight which suddenly crashes onto the Sphere (the crash is shown in the original Prey). At the end of a short battle with some aliens he is knocked unconscious, after which the plot jumps forward several years.
